DEE SUGAR COOKIES

1     cup of shortening

1 1/2 cups sugar

3     eggs

1/2   teaspoon of lemon juice

1     teaspoon vanilla

3 1/2 cups flour-sifted

2     teaspoons of Cream of Tarter

1     teaspoon of baking soda

1     teaspoon of salt

1/2   teaspoon of nutmeg

 

Mix shortening with the sugar and eggs. Add flour, and all other ingredients in a bowl.  Refrigerate overnight.    Rollout to desired thickness and cut into shapes. Bake 375 degrees until brown. (6 - 8 mins)
