BARBECUE SAUCE FOR CHICKEN

1 cup Wesson oil                a little lemon juice

1/2 cups vinegar                a little onion salt

1/2 cup water                   1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce

4 Tbsp. salt

1 tsp. black pepper

2 tsp. red pepper

2 tsp. poultry seasoning

Use 2 chickens for this recipe. Split in half and soak in salt water for awhile. Combine the above ingredients and bring to a boil. Marinate chicken and then cook on grill. After the chicken has been cooked, place remainder of sauce in a pan and add chicken and steam.

 

CATSUP SALAD DRESSING

1 cup chili sauce or catsup        1 tsp. dry mustard

1 cup salad oil                    1 tsp. pepper

2/3 cup vinegar                    1 tsp. salt

2/3 cup sugar                      juice of 1 lemon

1 tsp. paprika                     2 cloves garlic

 

Combine all ingredients in qt. jar. Refrigerate. Discard garlic after a day or so. Shake well before serving. Makes about 3 cups.

 

DRESSING

1 cup salad dressing               1 cup sour cream

1 tsp. horseradish                 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

dash garlic salt                   1 cup Roquefort cheese, crumbled

 

Mix above ingredients and refrigerate.
