Dee Family Favorite
1 cup
of Scaled milk
1 1/2 Tablespoons of Crisco
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
1
teaspoon of Salt
Mix
ingredients above together then let cool.
Then
add 1 envelope of Yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup of luke warm water.
Then
add beaten egg & then 3 1/2 to 4 cups of flour. Don't have it too stiff.

Note: If you wish to use Frozen dough, this works
fine. Follow the thawing instructions below and start here.

Mix
everything together, put into a large bowl and grease the top. Cover with an dish towel. Place in a warm oven to rise to double in
size. A warm oven can be an oven set to
200 degrees, once heated, turn it off and put contents in the oven.
In
about an hour, Take out and punch down the dough. Kneed the dough. Divide dough in half and using a rolling pin
roll out to as large as you can.
Brush
with melted margarine then spread with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up like a jelly roll and form a
ring. Place on a sprayed cookie sheet. Snip slices almost all the way though the
dough with scissors. Brush top again
with melted margarine.. Cover with
towel, place in a warm place and let rise again till it doubles in size.
Bake
at 425 degrees in oven for about 8 - 10 minutes.
Drizzle
with Glaze.
GLAZE:

Cup powered sugar
1
teaspoon of Vanilla
1
tablespoon of milk
Mix
together until smooth and thin enough to drizzle over the rolls.
Tips:
For
quick thawing of dough, place each loaf of dough in a microwave safe dish and
cover with plastic wrap or wax paper.
Place in microwave and cook on low or thaw settings (level 3 for 6
minutes in a 700w microwave) per loaf.
Rotate the dough every 3 minutes.
The
dough may be thawed in the refrigerator overnight. Remove dough from tray, leave it in plastic
bag or put in plastic wrap.
For
quick rising, place thawed dough in large greased bowl. Grease the top of the dough with melted
butter, margerine or spray shortening (this adds to the rising process). Place in a warm oven (140 degrees) and let
dough rise to double it's size.
